Australian White Sheep small farm starter packs

If you choose to start a flock of Australian White Sheep being low maintenance, better for the environment, hardy and produce perhaps the best lamb you have ever tasted,  we can assist you. We have worked through the teething problems of starting a flock of this breed and can help you get up and running with a starter pack. If you are within a few hours drive from Yass, NSW, we can supply 4 - 10 ewes and unrelated rams or ewes scanned in lamb to one of our sires. Our flock is full shedding, fast growing and does well on legume enhanced native pastures typical of the southern ranges. Better pasture sees them fatten faster and are in prime condition at 6-8 months. They are built to take the harsh Australian climate.

We are happy to talk about the breed and its pro's and con's. There are newer ways to sell meat nowadays which makes keeping a small flock of sheep viable. While some stud animals have fetched high prices, the reality is most  Australian White Sheep produced for the commercial  market are available at reasonable prices as availability of quality animals has increased.

Contact us if you are interested in starting a flock but need to know more or are unsure of how to go about it. We are happy to share our knowledge and experience. We will provide you with information and advice without an expectation to sell. We can point you to information sites where you can further your research into Australian White Sheep . We have found a model that works for us and we understand every farm is different.

Commercial Breeding Ewes

Our commercial flock is bred for productivity, resilience and management ease. They are sired by AWSBA stud rams and several generations of wiltipoll ewes selected and upgraded  with Tattlykeel sires. Surviving tough conditions and unimproved pasture, the most resilient and productive ewes were selected to join stud rams.
